There is no doubt that you realize along with us that the
country sits on an oil lake that comprises one fourth of the
world reserves of this commodity, whose importance is no secret.
That the country's average daily income from oil revenues
used to equal 100 million dollars a day, in addition to savings
that were put at 140 million dollars when you acceded to the
throne. This surpassed those of the US, the UK and France
lumped together and the country produced one third of OPEC's
output.
Under the economic factors of past years and with the population
having been low, the country witnessed a phenomenon that flew
in the face of sensible economics. Some held the opinion that
there would never come a day when the economy would collapse
and that the country will be one of the most indebted in the
world.
However, your suicidal policies disappointed those and others,
for not a decade had elapsed since you assumed power, before
the situation was turned upside down and inconsistancy set
in. The country subsequently became indebted to the tune of
80% of its income, and the average citizen was transformed
from one who possessed the largest savings into one who is
buried in debt.
The collapsing economic situation has been dropped, with
all its weight, on the lives of the citizens and residents
who have a lot pressure on their shoulders due to taxes and
fines. Their pockets have been strangled by increasing prices
of water, electricity and food which has lead to an insane
inflation which has never been witnessed before.
The educational situation didn’t help to further this
disaster either, in which schools suffer from immense overcrowding
in classrooms, which is affecting students, teachers and parents
alike. This matter has been worsened by the Ministry’s
inability to take action in order to maintain the classes
and to build new schools. The situation of the hospitals isn’t
and better than the schools, as the government has failed
to even maintain them. They are transforming many of its wings
to what resemble human slaughterhouses, without the much needed
medicine, treatment and care which is further compounded by
the Ministry’s inability of building new hospitals.
What has also made the situation worse is the spread of unemployment
in the ranks of the young and the graduates who possess university
degrees. The number of those who haven’t found jobs
has reached one hundred and fifty thousand and continues to
increase year after year. The job market keeps waning and
constantly shrinking in front of them, due to the actions
of the current economic crisis which keeps getting worse and
worse.
With the intensity of this crisis and with the aggravation
of the situation, neither you nor your governors hesitate
to ask people to save in power consumption and other matters
at a time when your behavior was a horrible example for people,
encouraging them to become even more extravagant. So how can
you ask people to save power, when everyone can see your enchanting
palaces lit up night and day? And how can anyone accept a
call from you to cut spending, when everybody can see your
palaces and your homes which fill the lands and horizons,
and when people hear about the big accounts you possess using
the nation’s wealth in and outside the country?
The amount of spending you do from the nation’s wealth
on these palaces and homes all over the world is indeed estimated
to be within thousands of millions of dollars, discussing
it will certainly take long and the narrator won’t know
where to begin. The industrial and enchanting cities of Jeddah
and Ajzar where you have build your most grandiose palaces,
right in the middle of the land on the seafront? Or shall
the narrator begin with lands where you weren’t satisfied
in building palaces but had to go as far as building them
underneath the surface? Or shall he begin with your palaces
in Mina, Taif, Huda, Shifa, Holy Mecca and Holy Medina and
the rest of the cities in the country? Or shall the narrator
leave them all and begin with the palaces you have built in
various western resorts and cities? Palaces you haven’t
even stepped inside very often during your entire life, and
you probably never will with what’s remaining of it.
If these words came from someone else, you would have probably
wouldn’t believe them but you know the people you speak
with, and you know that they are the wisest of people when
it comes to thesese realities which are no longer hidden from
the public anymore and certainly not from notable citizens.
And who can warn you better than an expert?
Your loved ones and your entourage have built palaces, treasured
wealth and competed with everyone. This is indeed the main
thing you have spent most of your time and effort on. Internal
quarrels have torn your relations apart, and raised the wrath
of some. Their anger was fueled by you and your possessions.
